The "Partners Statue" Dedication was to be held at 11:00 am.

The VIP's for the ceremony included Roy E. Disney, John Hench, Blaine Gibson (the sculptor of the statue), Marc & Alice Davis, Bill Farmer, Wayne Allwine and Russi Taylor.  Jack Lindquist, the President of Disneyland at that time (he officially retired that same day) officiated the ceremony. The ceremony began and Roy Disney unveiled the statue. The day before there was a "Mickey's WorldWide Kids Day."  Many of the children from the event stayed around to celebrate.

The dedication plaque reads, "I think most of all what I want Disneyland to be is a happy place where parents and children can have fun together." Walt Disney
